The ACW Evolve Championship is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion Apex Caliber Wrestling (ACW). As the secondary title of the promotion, it has been called the "stepping stone" to the ACW World Championship. The inaugural champion is Luke Smith.

The championship was established by ACW on July 5, 2013. At Rebellion on July 28, 2013, current and inaugural champion Luke Smith unified the ACW Intercontinental, the United States and the Television championships in an Ultimate X tournament final.

Etymology Edit

History Edit

The inaugural champion was crowned at Rebellion on July 28, 2013 in an Ultimate X Match. On the July 5, 2013 episode of Ignition, the ACW Intercontinental Championship, the ACW United States Championship and the ACW Television Championship were announced to be unified in a tournament final at Rebellion as the ACW International Championship. In the tournament, the contestants were set to determine participation in the Battle Royale on Ignition while the champions defended their belts on RAMPAGE in order to make it to the finals in a Fatal 4-Way.

From RAMPAGE I to RAMPAGE III, Dante successfully retained his United States Championship against Vergil, Mason Stone lost the Intercontinental Championship to James Griffin, and Luke Smith successfully defended his Television Championship against Nathan Drake. The losing competitors would enter the Battle Royale as a second chance. Meanwhile, then-backstage interviewer PewDiePie entered the tournament by the fans' support and went on to win the Battle Royale semifinals after eliminating Vergil last.

At Rebellion, Smith defeated PewDiePie, Dante and Griffin to become the inaugural champion; as a result, Smith unified all three belts into the ACW International Championship until he renamed it into the ACW Phenomenal Championship, which received a polarizing reception. Only a month later at Summer Wars, the title would be renamed into its current one.
