Gold is the male playable character in the Generation 2 Pokémon games and their remakes. He is also a main character in the Pokémon Adventures series from the Gold & Silver arc onwards. Despite various negative traits, such as impulsiveness and mischievousness, he can also be ingenious in formulating and executing plans. His special skill, as described by Professor Oak, is Pokémon hatching and bringing out the best in baby Pokémon, giving him the title of the Breeder (Hatcher in the original Japanese).
In Fiction Wrestling, Gold is currently signed to Universal Character Association (UCA), having been trained by older Pokémon protagonist, Red.
