The Rookie Revolution is an interpromotional fiction wrestling stable.

Originating in World Wrestling Entertainment: Animated as a group  of wrestlers dedicated to the goal of removing those who they deem "obstacles" for the newer generations of wrestling talent, as well as those who in general believe they were constantly held down, to take over, it was originally known as the T.R.U.T.H, consisting of Souichi Sugano, Greg Heffley, and Rowley Jefferson.

The Rookie Revolution was one of the most influential fiction wrestling stables of the 2010s, and are considered instrumental in the development of collaboration and talent sharing amongst fiction wrestling companies, being indirectly responsible, as a result, of the conception of Friday Night FUSION and Pride and Glory.

The group was also one of the most successful ones in fiction wrestling history, dominating several companies for a near-decade and later succesfully spreading to every company by March of 2017, before quietly dissolving, most of its' members quietly distancing themselves from each other, following their collective victory over the Corleone Family on Friday Night FUSION.

To this day, only four branches of the Rookie Revolution remain active: World Championship Wrestling's, Xtreme Championship Wrestling's, and Fiction Wrestling Entertainment's. Most recently, they were rejoined by Forever Wrestling Federation's branch.

Debut; The Gold Aces (2017 – Present)[]

On March 29th edition of Blitzkrieg, following the federation's first-ever pay-per-view after the near bankruptcy, Re:connect, Black Mage, a RiseUp! superstar, interrupted the show by attacking Doug Walker in the middle of his main event match against FWE Champion the Angry Video Game Nerd. The same week, on RiseUp!, Black Mage showed up with a Rookie Revolution armband, explaining that, after this "soft reboot", he believed the Valants, the very ones who had promised the rookies would've came first in their company, had ate their words back. Black Mage promised vengeance upon the Valants and everyone who had ever sided with them

The following week, developmental wrestlers Diablo, EOW: BLADE-7 and Big Bandit joined the main rosters, all wearing the Rookie Revolution armbands to the jeers of the crowd. Going unexplained for a few weeks, as the focus was on the tournaments to determine the new champions and the controversy between Rolfe and Walker over the FWE Championship, Black Mage took to the microphone again on the April 21st edition of RiseUp! after having become Intercontinental Champion, summoning the three rookies, before formally introducing the group as "The Gold Aces". Black Mage was officially recognized as FWE's branch leader immediately afterwards.

The Gold Aces would continue wrestling relatively undisturbed, with Black Mage successfully retaining his championship against former champion Twilight Sparkle, and defeating challenger Saxton Hale at High Noon, whilst Big Bandit successfully defeated Homer Simpson later that night. Mage, Diablo, and BLADE-7 all entered the Showdown at Sundown (at #14, #12, and #9, respectively), wrecking havoc and successfully racking up four eliminations. Diablo and BLADE-7 would then be eliminated by the returning Jack Cayman, whilst Black Mage would last longer until being surprisingly eliminated by Remi.

The returning Cayman and Black Mage, former stable mates in The Unwritten Law, would immediately clash in the group's first true test. Cayman would distract Black Mage and cost him a match against Cuba on the June 2nd edition of RiseUp!, only for Mage to ambush Cayman later that night during his match against Big Bandit and hit him with the Intercontinental Championship. On the June 9th edition of RiseUp!, one week later, Cayman and Bandit would square off in a No Disqualification match, where the former DeathWatch champion would come out on top, injuring Bandit in the process. With a match between the two and the belt on the line all but officially slated for No Way Out, Cayman pushed General Manager James May into making it a Thundercage Match.

At No Way Out, in spite of the stipulation, and the odds being stacked in his favour, Jack Cayman would fail to win the Intercontinental Championship, with Black Mage retaining. With his long-time rival finally defeated, Mage proceeded to cut an infamous, scathing promo on the June 30th edition of RiseUp!, where he insulted Bulgaria (the show was being aired in Sofia), the Pope, FWE's creative team, the audience, and several independent wrestlers, before announcing his intentions to invade Blitzkrieg once again. This was the final straw for GM James May, who finally intervened, and, to punish Mage, announced he would've defended his Intercontinental Championship in a Seven-Wrestler Ladder Match.

Over on Blitzkrieg, in the meantime, Diablo and BLADE-7, spurred on by the latter's manager, Edward Caoideach, had started to categorically beat down jobbers and members of the low card. Justifying their actions by referring to a speech Gear Valant had made on the June 26th edition of the show, where, addressing the roster, he announced that those who didn't improve or do as well as they could would not see their contracts renewed following CrashDay XIV, the duo targeted The Lodge Survivors at first, before focusing on PewDiePie. The Swedish YouTuber would find an unlikely ally in Tommy Vercetti, and after being drawn into the rivalry between Showdown at Sundown winner Wildcard and FWE Champion James Rolfe, the two teams are scheduled to clash in a tag team match at the Grandest Stage of European Pro Wrestling.

Wrestling Next Door[]

Prior to WND's televised debut, Sector W of the Kids Next Door joined the stable's ranks as 'trainee' members. Since then, their goal has been to prove themselves worthy of being full members of the group. Sector W was made a full-on Rookie Revolution branch following Pride and Glory.

Championship Extreme Wrestling[]

During their time as an individual group, Cinder's Faction was offered to become official members of the Rookie Revolution by Vaas. The offer was accepted, and Cinder's Faction officially joined the Rookie Revolution in December.

Branches[]

Due to the sheer amount of members of the Rookie Revolution, the group is divided into promotion-based branches. Each branch has its' "branch leader", who leads the other members of the branch. It should be noted that some members of the Rookie Revolution are members of different branches, since they work for different promotions, and it is possible for a branch leader to have to submit to the authority of another branch leader in those cases.

Trivia[]

  • The reason why FWE went so long without a Rookie Revolution branch is because the Valant family, owners of the company, always had a relatively "pro-rookie" attitude, which kept the group's attention away from the company. However, Capricorn's return and subsequent win of the World Heavyweight Championship in 2017 changed the attitude of the stable towards the promotion, which led to the formation of a branch.
  • Historically speaking, the UEPW branch was the largest, with its' 12 active members, as well as the largest by counting members unique to a company only, which are seven. The AWE branch, on the other hand, was the smallest, with its' sole member being Panto. Currently, instead, the FWE, FWF, and XCW branches are the largest, with four members each, while the WCW branch is the smallest, sitting at three.
